Fantasy Baseball 2017 Team Previews
By Bill Pivetz
When you prepare for your fantasy baseball draft, you want to know which players you should or should not draft from each team.
These fantasy baseball previews were written throughout January and February. So, please be wary if there is a player mentioned and he is no longer on that team or if a player signed with a team. We have supplement posts talking about any trades or free agent signings that took place between publishing and now.
In my opinion, the level of competition in baseball is pretty equal. There is no team that will run away with the division all the way to the World Series. The difference between the highest-scoring and lowest-scoring teams was 268 last season. The difference was 318 in 2015. Grab your ace pitchers early.
The American League has the benefit of having an extra batter in the lineup, the designated hitter. While there are a couple of teams with poor DH options, the majority of them will crush the ball throughout the season.

The National League, on the other hand, does not have the DH and putting the pitcher in the lineup. As a result, the opposing pitchers have the benefit of pitching against them multiple times a game. This will help their ratio stats just a bit.
