Baltimore Orioles center fielder, Adam Jones has established himself as one of the games best at his position. However, he has been off to mediocre start to the season, despite the Orioles early season success. Jones has been on a recent surge back up to the top during the past couple of weeks. Do you want him on your team?

To answer that question, yes, you do want Jones on your fantasy team. He is one of the best and more consistent players in the MLB today. He did start off slow here in 2016, but that will happen from time to time. Even the games best go in slumps. Jones is regaining form and will continue to be an asset for your squad as the season moves ahead.
Jones had an average in the low .200’s for much of the season. The lack of production was partly due to the oblique injury he had suffered earlier in the year. With a lingering issue such as that, it can be hard for any player to hit a groove. Fans figured he would turn it around eventually, especially with all the talent the now 30-year-old possesses. Most of his production in the 2016 season has come in recent games for Jones. As he gets more and more plate appearances, he will adjust more.
Over the past week, Jones is one of the top scoring batters in fantasy. Not surprisingly, as he has hit safely in seven of his last eight games; many of those games he recorded multiple hits. The ball has also left the park four times this past week for Jones. He is averaging nearly an RBI per game during this time. Jones has 12 RBI in recent games and is clicking on all cylinders.
On the season, Adam Jones now has a .243 batting average which is much improved from where it was just two weeks ago. It has been climbing closer and closer to his career .277 average. He also has nine home runs and 31 RBI on the year so far. Jones has proven year after year that he is always a threat to knock in 20+ home runs and 80+ RBI.
If he can continue his hot hitting, which he has done for most of his career, it should not be too much of stretch to see him reach these milestones yet again.

Adam Jones has had five straight seasons with at least 25 home runs and 82 RBI. Batting in one of the top lineups in baseball, for the Orioles, Jones should continue to flourish. Perhaps fantasy owners can trade for him cheaper than usual due to his slow start, but that will not last long. Jones is one of the game’s top outfielders and look for him to continue his hot streak in the upcoming weeks.
