Another one bites the dust. Injuries have affected the outcomes of a lot of fantasy matchups this season. This news can top the list. The Miami Marlins announced that their superstar, Giancarlo Stanton, will miss four to six weeks with a broken hamate bone in his left hand. This a big loss to the fantasy owners that own him. Here are your best options to replace him over the next month.

Stanton has been a superstar since he entered the league in 2010. He hit 22 home runs in his first 100 games. This season looked to be his best yet. He has 27 home runs, 67 RBI with a .265/.364/.606 line this year. He was on pace to hit 55 home runs and 136 RBI in 150 games.

Stanton will miss anywhere from a month to six weeks as he recovers. He injured it in the sixth inning of Friday’s game. “My bat dug into my hand a little bit,” Stanton told reporters. “It didn’t feel the greatest. Just get checked out and then know for sure what’s going on.”

Until he returns, the Marlins are likely to replace Stanton with Ichiro Suzuki. Suzuki has started some games this season, but has been more of a substitute in the latter part of his career. In 71 games, he has a .275 batting average and .325 on-base percentage. If he does get the starting job, his counting stats will obviously increase. He is owned in just 1.5 percent of ESPN.com leagues.

Some non-Marlins players to pick up are Kevin Pillar (68.8 percent owned), Marlon Byrd (20.5 percent) and Steven Souza (58.2 percent). All of whom can provide you with home runs and RBI.

Regardless of who you add, there is no replacing a Giancarlo Stanton. He is the major-league home run and RBI leader. Hopefully for everyone, he will be back in four weeks and not six. Unfortunately, history is not on his side.
