David Wright was a pretty big disappointment in 2014 when he finished with only eight homers and eight steals. It was the first time in his entire career (excluding 69 games as a rookie in 2004) that David Wright posted a single-digit total in either statistic. This lines David Wright up perfectly for a huge steal if he rebounds, but I am not so confident that he does. If you believe in Wright, then you can snatch him up on the back end of the top 100 picks.

Lucas Duda is my favorite bat on the Mets in terms of fantasy purposes. While franchise player David Wright will still cost more, Duda is the best fantasy option the Mets have. Duda’s projected line is fairly attractive, but I think it sells him a bit short because Lucas Duda broke out in 2014 and Tanner’s model uses the last three years of data. Look for at least another 30/80 season with an .800+ OPS, which is a very slight decline from his 2014 numbers.

I am not really sure why the Mets signed a player who missed 113 games in 2014 and will be 36 years old on Opening Day. What is even more perplexing about the Michael Cuddyer signing is that it will cost the New York Mets a draft pick. Nonetheless, Cuddyer had a ridiculous .955 OPS in his short season with the Rockies. While some regression and declining skills are expected, Michael Cuddyer’s .813 career OPS makes him an attractive option for your fantasy bench.

One of my favorite sleepers for 2015 is Travis d’Arnaud. I have mentioned him before in this article because I truly believe that he can finish as a top five catcher next season. I think he will provide above-average power and average to his owners and show why he was one of the game’s top prospects back when he was in the Blue Jays’ system.
