After a few days of getting minimal representation in the fantasy baseball stats recap, the hitters struck back — big time. Specifically, they dominated two games, which is where all four hitters came from.

It was not easy coming up with a good order for these guys, as a few of them could have easily swapped places. But, I did the best I could, and I’ll leave it up to you readers to decide if I got it right.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Stats MVP

Corey Dickerson — Colorado Rockies

A day contributing in every category, with a few runs and RBI to boot. Amazingly, the Rockies lost this wild game. That’s Coors Field for you.

How much fantasy viability Dickerson will have once Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer return remains to be seen. But for now, he belongs in a starting lineup in every league.

Daily Fantasy Baseball Stats Honorable Mentions

1. Edwin Encarnacion — Toronto Blue Jays

Another wild game. Encarnacion was bashing the ball against his former team and obviously, his Blue Jays teammates were doing more than enough to inflate the other stats.

Edwin is now on pace for 50 homers and if he doesn’t get it, don’t be surprised to see him get very, very close.

2. Jay Bruce — Cincinnati Reds

On another day, Bruce could have easily claimed the top spot and the Reds would have won. Friday just didn’t quite work out that way.

This hasn’t been a banner year for Bruce. Judging by his ownership rate, I don’t think fantasy owners are ready to give up on him, though. A few more games like this and their faith will be justified.

3. Jean Segura — Milwaukee Brewers

[table id=889 /]

It was a close race between Segura and Seth Smith. Ultimately, Segura gets the nod because he’s owned in a few more leagues and therefore helped more fantasy players, which is a nice tiebreaker to have.

Segura’s average has been disappointing but he’s otherwise been fine this year. Fantasy owners getting a 2-HR day from him is like finding money, always a good thing.
