Welcome to our Mother’s Day fantasy baseball stats recap.

The bats were out on Saturday, producing a clean sweep on today’s list. We start with a team we’ve looked at a lot this year — the Colorado Rockies. Only this time, we’re not looking at Troy Tulowitzki or Charlie Blackmon.

Daily Fantasy Baseball MVP

Corey Dickerson — Colorado Rockies

It didn’t help many fantasy owners out there, but this was an absolutely dominant day from Dickerson.

The Rockies have a very strong lineup and when someone gets hot on a day when they’re firing on all cylinders, days like this are going to happen. Power with men on base means big numbers.

Daily Honorable Mentions

1. Seth Smith — San Diego Padres

[table id=711 /]

Yesterday we had Jedd Gyorko in this exact spot. Today, it’s Smith. Someone, break up the Padres.

Smith’s likely to see mostly platoon action once Carlos Quentin returns so there’s not much long term value, but he’s very capable of a big game or two when in there. The thing with platoon guys is that they generally only bat in favorable matchups, obviously increasing the chances of success when they’re in the lineup.

2. Jimmy Rollins — Philadelphia Phillies

[table id=712 /]

The second spot in the order seems to be suiting Rollins well, as he’s on track to score over 90 runs while driving in just under 80. Fantasy owners would have been hard pressed to ignore that at the beginning of the year.

The Phillies aren’t the juggernaut that won the NL East every year from 2007-2011, but they do still have some very capable hitter that can compliment the top-of-the-order guys like they did Rollins on Saturday.

3. Dee Gordon — Los Angeles Dodgers

[table id=713 /]

The fantasy value of Gordon is immense. If he’s on your fantasy team and keeps stealing bases at this pace, you may not need another steal to lead your league — enabling you to put a lot of bashers on the team.

Really, anything you get from Gordon beyond steals is a bonus, but he’s been far from a one-dimensional guy this year. He was a complete offensive force for the Dodgers on Saturday afternoon.
